Welcome to my website.  I'm Jeff Patterson, and I practice law in Montgomery, Alabama, with an emphasis on state and local taxation.  My practice includes the representation of corporate and individual taxpayers who are located within Alabama and in other states, and my representation encompasses sales and use taxes, income tax, county and city taxes, tax incentives such as the Alabama capital credit, and business privilege tax, among other areas.

Prior to forming my own firm, I served as an assistant counsel with the Alabama Department of Revenue for more than 13 years, where I litigated numerous corporate and individual tax cases, and advised commissioners and tax-division directors on various topics.  With my background and with my understanding of the Alabama Department of Revenue, I now focus my efforts on assisting businesses and individuals to navigate the complicated world of state and local taxation.
